Frequently Asked Questions
Straight answers, before you ever walk in.
Most patients have the same handful of questions about referrals, insurance, and what an adjustment actually feels like. Here are clear answers — and if yours isn't here, we're a phone call away.
Getting Started
Do I need a referral to be seen?
No. You can book directly with us as a new patient — no physician referral required. If your specific insurance plan requires one, our front desk will let you know during verification.
Is the first adjustment done on the first visit?
Often, yes. After your consultation and exam, if findings are clear and you're comfortable, many patients receive their first adjustment the same day. If we need imaging first, we'll schedule the adjustment once results are in.
Does an adjustment hurt?
It shouldn't. Most patients describe relief and a release of tension. You may hear a 'pop' — that's just gas releasing from the joint, not bone. We also offer low-force, instrument-assisted options if you prefer a gentler approach.
Insurance & Cost
Do you accept my insurance?
We accept most major carriers including BlueCross BlueShield, Aetna, Cigna, UnitedHealthcare, Medicare, Tricare, and Workers' Compensation. Use our insurance verifier and we'll confirm your benefits before your visit.
What if I don't have insurance?
We offer transparent self-pay pricing and a sliding scale, plus interest-free in-house payment plans. Use the financing calculator on our Insurance & Financing page to estimate a monthly plan.
Will you bill my auto-accident claim?
Yes. For personal-injury and auto cases we document thoroughly, coordinate imaging, and bill your auto claim or work on a lien with your attorney so you have no out-of-pocket cost up front.
Treatment
How many visits will I need?
It depends on your condition and goals, but most plans run 6 weeks with a tapering schedule. We set measurable milestones up front and re-evaluate — we never lock you into open-ended 'maintenance' you don't need.
Is chiropractic safe during pregnancy?
Yes, with appropriately trained providers and gentle technique. We use pregnancy-supportive tables and modified positioning, and many expectant patients find significant relief from low-back and pelvic pain.
Can you help with conditions other than back pain?
Absolutely — we treat neck pain, sciatica, headaches and migraines, whiplash, sports and extremity injuries, and more. See our Conditions Treated page for the full clinical list.
